2nd Line Support Engineer

We currently have a fantastic new opportunity for a responsible and experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer and are looking for someone with a hunger and passion to help us grow our business and assist the Service Delivery Manager.

The role will involve supporting a broad range of clients in every business sector, so you would be required to have a flexible and adaptable approach to be able to support all types of kit. Our Service Desk consists of a team of high calibre individuals, who are multi- skilled and care about delivering the highest possible quality of service to our clients.

General Description of Position

  • Supporting e-Mail clients and systems
  • Modifying file permissions and file shares
  • Maintaining Active Directory
  • Managing firewalls, network and wireless infrastructure
  • Implementing backup solutions for clients
  • Supporting line of business applications
  • Installation/configuration of printers, scanners, workstations and networking equipment
  • Keeping up to date with the latest technology
  • Taking Service Desk calls, providing technical assistance by using remote support
    tools and the in-house ticket system
  • Keeping client information updated in our Client Information System (ITGlue)
  • Attending client sites
  • Supporting L1 Engineers with guidance & training
